  1. Cutting-1722 Van Kamp Ave RB#AR16863 At 6:42 pm Officer responded to 4327 S 27th St for a cutting. Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim, 29 year old Jacob CUNNINGHAM suffering from an apparent cutting injury. Through the course of the investigation Officers learned that the cutting occurred at 1722 Van Kamp Ave. CUNNINGHAM was transported to the Nebraska Medical Center where it was determined his injuries were non-life-threatening.   2. OFD were dispatched to a fire alarm of a multi-story, multi-family residential structure. Fire crews reported nothing showing on approach, but upon further investigation located a fire on the basement level near an entrance on the "B" side of the structure. "Working Fire," declared. Dispatch had indicated that the 911 caller stated they had attempted to defrost the pipes that had frozen the prior evening using a propane fueled torch. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim in the parking lot of the business with a gunshot wound to the stomach. The victim was transported to the Nebraska Medical Center for his injuries.   5. Omaha Police say they had a fantastic week last night & over the last week or so by the South Gang & Gang Intelligence detectives. An increase in graffiti & shots fired in South Omaha led 2 some suspects & arrests. A couple guns recovered & evidence of graffiti should help slow the problem.
  6. On Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 12:30 a.m. an off-duty officer working at Guaca Maya, 5002 South 33rd Street, advised that a person has been cut. Additional officers arrived. OFD medics arrived and transported the victim, 28-year-old Juan Garcia, to the Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Officers determined that Garcia was involved in a disturbance with a male. During the disturbance the suspect stabbed Garcia with a knife. The suspect has not been located at this time. Officers spoke with employees who stated a light-skinned black male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a mask entered the business, showed a handgun and demanded money. After taking cash, the suspect fled on foot to the south. The investigation is ongoing. Officers spoke with an employee who said a tall black male entered the business, showed and handgun and demanded money. The suspect took cash and cigarettes and fled westbound on foot with a male who had been waiting at the door. The investigation is ongoing.     2 shot in Shooting at 2500 B Street Omaha, Ne

    At 6:20 am Officers responded to Highland Tower at 2500 B St for a shooting. Upon arrival Officers located 2 adult male victims suffering from apparent gunshot injuries. Both victims were transported by ambulance to the Nebraska Medical Center where it was determined there injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening. The investigation is ongoing.   10. Omaha Police responded to Midtown Gas & Grocery at 2302 South 13th Street at 5:02 a.m. Tuesday to investigate a robbery. The employee told officers that someone snuck up behind him, grabbed him, put something in his back and demanded money. The employee pulled away from the suspect, and the suspect then ran from the store without getting any money.     Shooting at 6708 South 26th Street, Omaha, Ne

    Omaha Police responded to 6708 South 26th Street at 2:05 a.m. Sunday to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived they located 33-year-old Felipe Moreno-Lopez suffering from a gunshot wound. Moreno-Lopez said he was sleeping when he was shot. Officers noticed damage to the residence and vehicles in the street from gunfire. OFD medics transported Moreno-Lopez to the Nebraska Medical Center with a non-life threatening injury. The investigation is ongoing.     Robbery - 1222 S 24th Street Omaha, Ne

    At 7:32 am Officers responded to Midtown Gas and Grocery at 1222 S 24th St for a robbery. Upon arrival Officers contacted the clerk who said that the suspect entered the store, brandished a handgun, and demanded money. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled the area on foot, unknown direction.
