    Man arrested in 20th and Maple Street shooting

    Omaha Police responded to 20th and Maple Street at 10:06 p.m. Saturday to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived, they located 31-year-old Deandre Jimerson suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Jimerson advised that he was shot during an altercation at a convenience store at 2704 Florence Boulevard. OFD medics transported Jimerson to the Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. UPDATE: Tuesday, April 6th, 2021 OPD Assault Unit Detectives identified the suspect in this case. Gilbert MCCABE (11/04/77)
  2. Homicide-N 24th St/Emmett St RB#AR17605 At 2:56 am Officers responded to the area of N 24th St and Emmett St for a Shot Spotter activation. While en route the call was upgraded to a shooting. Officers arrived and located two adult male victims suffering from apparent gunshot injuries. Once victim was declared deceased on scene.
