  1. Omaha Police responded to the 3200 block of North 28th Street at 2:37 a.m. Wednesday to investigate a Shotspotter alert. When officers arrived they located 36-year-old Mack Johnson who advised he was sitting in a parked vehicle when he was struck by gunfire. Another victim, 22-year-old Jamiaha McKaufman said she was inside her apartment when she was struck by the gunfire. Both victims' injuries are non-life threatening. There is no suspect information. Upon arrival Officers found an adult male victim deceased on scene, Timothy W. WASHINGTON III (06/18/1983).   4. On Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 7:12 p.m. officers responded to 18th and Binney Street to investigate a ShotSpotter alert of numerous gunshots. The call was then upgraded by dispatch to a shooting with one victim. Officers arrived and began life-saving measures on the victim until Omaha Fire Department medics arrived.     Omaha shooting at 4943 S 98th Ave Cir

    At 12:00 am Officers responded to 4943 S 98th Ave Cir for a shooting. Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim, 46-year-old-male, Lonnie WILLIAMS suffering from apparent gunshot injuries. Lonnie WILLIAMS was transported to Bergan Mercy Hospital where it was determined his injuries were non-life-threatening.     Original Press release by OPD On Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 5:36pm, Omaha Police Officers were dispatched to 4107 S 41st Avenue for an assault in progress. Original 911 call details indicated a white male, in his 30s, was inside of the residence armed with a handgun and discharging the firearm.   13. Omaha, Ne -- 4-10-2021, Omaha Police responded to the 3200 block of North 26th Avenue at 11:35 p.m. Saturday to investigate a ShotSpotter alert. While officers were en route, 911 received a call of a shooting. When officers arrived they located a female suffering from a gunshot wound. As officers continued to investigate, they eventually located a male victim inside an apartment. OFD medics transported the female victim, 28-year-old Dak Chudier, to the Nebraska Medical Center. Shortly after the accident was upgraded to a shooting. Upon arrival Officers found a passenger in one of the vehicles, 43 year old Derrick MURRELL, suffering from apparent gunshot injuries. Friday, March 12th 2021, at 3:27pm, Officer Jeffrey Wittstruck #2268 and Officer Joseph Kunza #2304 were dispatched to the JC Penney's store at the Westroads Mall, 10000 California Street for a shoplifter who had been detained by store security. Officer Wittstruck arrived at JC Penney's and made contact with security employees and a male suspect, who was sitting in a chair inside the security office.   18. Omaha, Ne -- An Omaha Police Officer was shot today at JCPenny's in the Westroads Mall at about 4 pm. The incident started when Omaha Police were called for a shoplifter. According to Sherie Thomas of the Omaha Police Department, the suspect who shot the OPD Officer is in custody after a high speed chase. The pursuit started at 5:23pm at the Gretna interchange at mile marker 433. At 5:42 pm the suspect was taken into custody without any incident.   21. Update 03/08/2021: An arrest has been made in this shooting. On Sunday, March 7, 2021 officers located the suspect, 25-year-old Justin Rashad near 43rd and Emmet Street. Officers booked Rashad at Douglas County Corrections for 1st-degree felony assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony. Omaha Police responded to 135 North 35th Street at 9:43 p.m. Monday regarding a "nature unknown" call.     Shooting-1817 N 33rd St At 1:35 pm Officers responded to NBH Grocery at 1817 N 33rd St for a shooting. While on scene, a shooting victim arrived by private vehicle at Immanuel Hospital. Officers contacted the victim, 19-year-old male Dtavionte PERRY, who was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot injury. PERRY said he was standing in front of NBH Grocery at 1817 N 33rd when he heard gunshots and realized he had been struck by gunfire. The investigation is ongoing.   23. Tawhyne Patterson Sr. and Damon Williams of Lincoln were convicted of Robbery Resulting in Murder and Firearms Offenses today following a jury trial. They face prison terms up to life. Their sentencing hearings are set for May 21, 2021.
