Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) arrested a California man and seized more than 25 pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop in Dawson County. At approximately 6:15 p.m., Friday, February 19, a trooper observed a Hyundai Azera fail to stop at a stop sign after exiting Interstate 80 at the Overton interchange, at mile marker 248.   4. January 1, 2021 - (Omaha, NEB.) Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol arrested one person after he attempted to flee a traffic stop and assaulted a trooper. The incident occurred Thursday on the entrance ramp to westbound Interstate 80 near the Q street overpass in Omaha. At approximately 11:45 a.m. Thursday, a trooper observed a Ford Thunderbird driving in excess of 80 miles per hour in a 50 miles per zone.   5. January 4, 2021 - (Lincoln, NEB.) Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) removed 41 impaired drivers from the road during the holiday season’s “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign. The effort, which ran from December 18 to January 1, included dozens of law enforcement agencies across Nebraska and many more throughout the entire country.
