  1. Council Bluffs, Ia -- 6/16/2021, Around 7:40 pm a man attempted to elude Council Bluffs Police during a traffic stop. Council Bluffs Police attempted to stop Davis around S. 27th and 5th Ave, from there Tyler Scott Davis fled. According to the Police scanner, Davis was driving a stolen vehicle. During the incident, Davis ran stop signs, drove reckless, was carrying drugs and paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and more.     Fireworks are permitted in Council Bluffs on Friday, July 2, 2021, Saturday, July 3, 2021, and Sunday, July 4, 2021, from noon until midnight. City of Council Bluffs Fireworks Ordinance: Fireworks are permitted in Council Bluffs in 2021 on Friday, July 2, Saturday, July 3, and Sunday, July 4, from noon until midnight. Individuals must be 18 years or older to possess and discharge fireworks. Fireworks may only be discharged on your property or that of a consenting property owner. Fireworks shall not be discharged in areas zoned C-3 or C-4 Commercial Districts.

  5. Council Bluffs, Ia --- 6/14/2021 at 4:34 am officers were called to 1435 N. 15th St. to investigate a female that was found in front of this location w/severe burns on her body. Officers, along w/medics from the Council Bluffs Fire Dept. arrived on scene and the victim was immediately transported to UNMC for treatment.     Woodrow Wilson Construction Project update

    The new multi-million dollar project for Woodrow Wilson Junior High is in its last stretch of completion. Much of the new outer structure has been completed. From the outside we can see new lighting, the new parking lot being poured, the new HVAC systems are in place and the new offices and front entry structure is completed. Most of the project is slated to be completed by July 9th, 2021. BVH Engineering is a big part of this project.     Progress on the Ave A corridor project

    The new Ave A Corridor project is coming along very well. With construction already underway, we can now see how it's shaping up.   10. Council Bluffs, Ia - The Council Bluffs Public Works -Street Division is working hard this summer to update roads, curbs and gutters around town. Today the Street Division completed milling on 16th ave from 8th street to 16th street. They've also completed milling south 8th from 19th Ave to 23rd Ave. New driveway entries have also been completed from south 8th from 19th Ave to 23rd Ave. Both areas of the south end are near time for the new top surface to be added.     Council Bluffs man stabs neighbor

    Stabbing 2100 Block of 3rd Ave At around 10: 50 pm 2 males were injured in a stabbing, One was stabbed multiple times to his abdomen and the other had cuts to his hand and elsewhere. 1 male was transported with serious injuries. Bier Fest (Formally know as the Cube Ultra Lounge at 162 West Broadway) and Rodeo Saloon & BBQ at 164 West Broadway.     Man with knife stopped by Council Bluffs Police

    Council Bluffs, Ia -- Around 3 pm Pottawattamie County Dispatch received a 911 call that a suspect was trying to stab multiple people at 1117 S. 28th street in Council Bluffs. Shortly after Council Bluffs Police arrived an officer requested less lethal rounds and also a Sgt to be on scene. After the Sgt arrived and less lethal rounds Council Bluffs Police made entry into the home where the suspect with a knife was.   19. At 1:01 am Omaha advised they were pursuing a vehicle into Council Bluffs which had been stolen at gunpoint. Council Bluffs Police Officers headed to assist. Omaha had deployed a tire deflation device before coming into Council Bluffs disabling some of the vehicles tires.   20. Council Bluffs, Ia -- Council Bluffs Police catch another stolen vehicle (signal 5) today around 3pm 3/15/2021. The pictured vehicle was found at Harrahs Casino. The vehicle was seen pulling into Harrah's. Council Bluffs Police went into Harrah's to apprehend the suspected thieves. One was caught inside Harrah's and is in custody. Two males stepped out of the vehicle. The second suspect was found driving away from the Casino.
  21. A new park is coming to Council Bluffs! City officials have secured a location for a trail stop park on the northeast corner of the recently constructed roundabout along Eastern Hills Drive.     Future plans for the Council Bluffs riverfront include a treetop walk, an observation tower, an adventure course, and a pier.   25. Council Bluffs, Ia - At 6:29 pm a two vehicle personal injury crash occurred at the intersection of 24th street and Veterans Memorial Hwy. A 2001 Ford Ranger was Westbound on Vets Hwy. A 2005 Chrysler Sebring was eastbound on Vets Hwy making a left turn to go north on S. 24th. Preliminary investigation revealed that the Chrysler turned in front of the Ford causing the crash. A passenger in the Chrysler received life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The crash is being investigated by the traffic unit.
