The pursuit started in Fremont, Ne, went through Omaha and finally ended in Council Bluffs, Ia in Westwood Park located at 35th and 12th Ave. OPD spiked the white trucks tires in Omaha causing the front right tire to deflate.     Man with knife stopped by Council Bluffs Police

    Council Bluffs, Ia -- Around 3 pm Pottawattamie County Dispatch received a 911 call that a suspect was trying to stab multiple people at 1117 S. 28th street in Council Bluffs. Shortly after Council Bluffs Police arrived an officer requested less lethal rounds and also a Sgt to be on scene.   3. Council Bluffs, Ia -- Around 11:30 am an Omaha man wanted by the U.S. Marshalls and Sarpy County barricaded himself into an excavator at a job site. The job site was located at Kanesville Blvd across from the new YMCA. Once law enforcement arrived a call could be heard through dispatch of an officer stating they have a situation.   9. Council Bluffs, Ia -- 1/15/2021, Around 3:30 pm today the East Broadway Subway was robbed at gunpoint. The suspect, Tyrees Abdalla Brown, was described as a black male in a black hoodie, white mask and light colored jeans was apprehended only a block away from the Subway on Grace street. The male took off in a white Chevrolet Impala after he robbed the store. A Council Bluffs Police officer on his way to the seen noticed the driver in the Impala matched the description, the driver didn't pull over immediately but he ended up only 1 block from the Subway store on Grace street.   10. Official Council Bluffs Police narrative: On 1-12-21, at 6:08 pm, Council Bluffs Police officers were called to 1221 North 31st street for a shooting that had just occurred at that location. Officers arrived and found the victim Jeffery Enders, on the ground with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head. Council Bluffs, Ia -- On January 2, 2021 at 2:30 a.m. Council Bluffs dispatch received a call that 2 males at the Walgreens on North Broadway filled up 2 baskets of high dollar items that were wrapped in security packaging then fled out an emergency exit of the store. Once the 2 males exited the store they got into a Black Cadillac Escalade with Nebraska plates and fled west on Broadway. COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - United States Attorney Marc Krickbaum announced on December 15, 2020, James Michael Willett, Sr., age 48, of Council Bluffs, was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Rebecca Goodgame Ebinger to 135 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.   14. Council Bluffs Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating Nickolas Elliot Kiger. Kiger is wanted for warrants that include Domestic assault, FTA on domestic, Possession of weapons and Violation of protection order. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
  15. On December 7, 2020, three males committed an armed bank robbery in Omaha and were pursued into Council Bluffs by the Omaha Police helicopter. When their car crashed, one was immediately apprehended. The other two, potentially dangerous criminals fled on foot and were sought after by over 40+ area law enforcement officers.   17. Around 2 a.m. Council Bluffs Police pursued a stolen vehicle a short distance through Parkwild apartments that crashed at the end of the complex at the top. A call came into to dispatch a group of males in a red car was breaking out a window in a vehicle at Parkwild. When police arrived they attempted to flee.   18. Metro News Now ran an exclusive story Dec 1, 2020 when a shooting occurred at a gas station located at1305 North 25th Street in Council Bluffs. At that time Metro News Now didn't have any further information on the shooting because the suspect fled before he could be caught. Today, Council Bluffs Police and the US Marshal's announced they were looking for Benjamin Marley Manley in connection with that shooting.   23. Suspect John Allen Lindeman was driving a red 90's Mustang GT convertible early Thursday morning erratically in Council Bluffs, the vehicle also had no plates. At the time of the initial incident, Council Bluffs Police elected not to pursue the vehicle.   24. Council Bluffs Police this past week had an encounter with a suspect in a white Dodge truck that had no plates, during that encounter the suspect eluded police by going into Omaha. Early Friday morning around 2 a.m. Council Bluffs Police and the Pottawattamie County Sheriff engaged again with the suspect in the white Dodge Truck that lead again into a chase from Council Bluffs, into Omaha, and back to Council Bluffs.
