The controlled, rotating outages that the SPP directed its member utilities to enact this morning to deal with peak winter loads has ended. All customers impacted by these approximately one-hour outages have been or are currently being restored.
OPPD knows how inconvenient this is for everyone and appreciates the energy conservation measures so many of our customers and businesses have participated in. We ask that people keep working to conserve as much energy as possible as the entire region is still facing the impacts of the polar vortex.
Temperatures are expected to begin to improve, slowly. By tomorrow, the OPPD service territory should see single-digit highs for the first time in days.
