    Drive by shooting in front of 3318 N 24th St injures 2, 1 male in critical condition

    Omaha, Nebraska -- At about 4:30 p.m. a shooting occurred in front of a barber shop located at 3318 N 24th St. Able-1 could be seen flying overhead. Graphic image notice below.

    1 man is in stable condition,  Desmond Edwards, 21. 1 man is in extremely critical condition, Jumeez Sherman, 22. Both were taken to UNMC.

    Metro News Now spoke with Lieutenant Tim Woolman of the Omaha Police Department who stated this was a drive-by shooting. 

    Metro News Now also spoke with some community members as they drove by asking what happened. The reactions we noticed from the community ranged from sadness to shaking their heads. One woman stated to us "It's bullshit and needs to stop."

    At 4:21 pm Officers responded to a Shotspotter activation near 3318 N 24th St. Upon arrival Officers located two victims with apparent gunshot injuries. 21 year old male Desmond EDWARDS was transported to the Nebraska Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. 22 year old male Jumeez SHERMAN was transported to Nebraska Medical Center with critical, potentially life-threatening injuries.
