On February 10, Claudell L. Walker, 23, was sentenced to 35 months in prison for being a felon in possession of ammunition. He was also sentenced to a 3-year term of supervised release.
On 3/15/20, the OmahaPolice attempted a traffic stop at North 33rd St. & Fowler Ave. The vehicle initially failed to stop & Walker was observed fleeing on foot carrying a red backpack. The police recovered various items on Walker’s person, along the path Walker fled & the vehicle he had been in, including a loaded handgun magazine & brass knuckles. The handgun magazine was a gray Browning .380 magazine containing eight .380 caliber rounds of ammunition. Walker is a convicted felon for attempted Robbery in 2014, & also had 3 active misdemeanor warrants at the time of his arrest. As a convicted felon he is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition. This case was investigated by the
