    Council Bluffs Police respond to shooting at O'Face Bar at 24th and 9th Avenue




    Council Bluffs, Ia -- Around 1 am Council Bluffs Police responded to a shooting call at at O'Face Bar of a black male across the street from the bar.

    Council Bluffs Fire and Rescue transported one adult male to the hospital, it's unclear of the mans condition but he was shot in the chest.

    The victim was able to stay on the phone with dispatch until police arrived and located him.

    Police could be seen questioning a lot of bar goers. Metro News Now learned the suspect fled the scene. 

    Metro News Now spoke with Council Bluffs Police on scene. Council Bluffs Police didn't have much as it was a scene working in progress. 


    UPDATE: Council Bluffs Police
    On 02/27/21 at 12:56 Am officers were dispatched to 2400 9th Ave, O’Face Bar, in reference to a shooting that happened inside the bar. Upon officers arrival they were able to locate the victim and render aid to him until the Council Bluffs Fire Department arrived and transported him to a local hospital for medical treatment.

    Officers were informed that a black male wearing a red shirt, black coat, black pants and a red bandanna around his face walked into the bar and shot the victim. The black male then left the bar in an unknown direction.
